5 years back in 2015, the foundation of D.El.Ed. (BTC) was laid. The very first batch comes out with the 100% result. Moreover, many of them are recruited as assistant teachers in various districts as both central and state government teachers. The mission of the department is to focus on learning for every student every day. The vision of the department emphasizes the fact that learning is reflected in both achievement and growth.

Emphasis is placed on integrated action steps in a prioritized manner targeting high-leverage action. Connection days action steps to work and recommendations emerging from the in-depth program reviews and to the teaching and learning occurring in our classroom daily are of utmost importance to ensure sustainability and alignment

D.El.Ed. (BTC) Course  

D.El.Ed. (BTC) is a diploma course in elementary education. It is a 2-year full-time diploma course to train teachers. There are four semesters in this course to prepare trainees to work in primary and upper primary schools. It includes practical training and internships along with classroom training. It includes principles of child development, education, practice, and the role of the teachers in grooming the students.

Eligibility Criteria  

• 10+2 and graduation
• From recognized board/university with 50% minimum marks (Gen 50%, OBC/SC/ST 45%).
• Age – 18 to 35
• OBC / SC / ST – Age relaxation (5 years)

Curricular Activities  

• Internships: There are 4 internships in D.El.Ed. (BTC) course. At the end of every semester, internships are given to allotted primary/upper primary government schools.
• Scout & guide: It is a 3 – 5 day training which is necessary for D.El.Ed. (BTC) curriculum.
• Seminars
• Essay Competition
• Debate Competition
• Exhibition (waste material models)
• Agriculture / Home Science (modal + practical)
